Microsoft Home Use Program

All active district employees are entitled to the benefit of downloading and installing Microsoft Office 2016 for home use (on up to five computers). The procedure for accessing the installation is as follows:

  • Go to the website http://portal.office.com/
  • Enter you work email address into the login field and click Next
  • On the next screen, select Work or School Account
  • Now enter your password that you use for your Network Login and click Sign In
  • On the next screen, you have the option to select to stay signed in or not. Click whichever you prefer.
  • A tour of the site popup will appear, you can click the X to pass this portion of the site.
  • You will now see a dropdown selection that says Install Office Apps. Click this and select Other Install Options.

  • Select the Version (64- bit or 32-bit). If you are not sure what version, click here.
  • Click the Install Office button to download the installer.
